oh writing... week of the 19th.

So don't mind the title. I tend to forget when I write blogs and then lose all sense of sanity and have to retrace all my steps to the last blog and the number of blogs... but that is besides the point. I think that every class gets more and more interesting. When I first stepped into this class I thought to myself, heck, this is going to be a piece of cake! Then I soon realized I was a dumb little child with a lot to learn. My mother used to write a lot of short stories and she would always read them to me in order to see my opinion. For if an eleven year old is bored to tears than an adult will most likely be as well. The way that my mother wrote made writing look so simple. She would come up with intriguing stories and they went places, there was tension and energy. I thought to myself coming into this class, if my mother can do all of this so simply then I will quickly pick it up as well. How hard is it to write a story? Hard. I think that through this class I have learned the intensity that it is not just writing a story it is creating a story through the medium of writing. One must be able to visualize and live the stories and the words are simply a medium to convey the message. I hope that as the class progresses I can take each piece that we have learned and apply it to all of my stories from the past and in the future. I think that as I do less thinking and more focusing and doing, then I will be able to move forward and create the stories that I hope for. For if I give up now, I will not get anywhere. So here is to the good fight for the good story.
