I know this may sound dorky but I love learning grammar. Sure, most of it is a review but it never hurts to brush up on some skills! Learning about lie, lie, and lay was actually completey new to me! I found out that I have been misspeaking for probably my entire life. Every time I'm tired, I hear myself saying that I can't wait to go lay down in my bed. Little did I know, the correct word is "lie." I was embarrassed about my past speech, but so glad to finally learn the right way. It's kind of funny, but since we've learned that lesson, I keep hearing those words being used, both correctly and incorrectly. That always seems to happen to me! Everytime I become aware of something, it appears everywhere.
I would also like to talk about the second reading I did last night in the O'Henry book. This was the reading about the other readings by other short story authors. I found this reading to be very helpful in understanding the original readings. I enjoyed reading "The Room," but I was able to gather much more insight into the story after reading the other essays about "The Room." Overall I really enjoy every story in the O'Henry book.
